A lack of ass depth would eliminate you from the list, sorry just had to let you know.
So how deep is deep enough? 4"? 6"? 15" or the transverse colon, whichever comes first? You are sick, man!

Price has raced, but is hurt right now...she is an coach at Richmond...not I am not totally out of touch thanks! There were some people saying (on this board) that she might be coming back home. If you have not heard of Kathy Newberry or Trish Nervo then you are out of touch. Most of the women on my list have run sub 17 for 5K (not all), which puts them at the same level as several of the men on your list.
Not all of the men on your list have run a marathon, so how do you know they are within 33 min of the WR?
Why all the hostility "..." and others?
meaning Chock might be coming home...sorry left out a sentence
What? Is your post written in english? I remarked on TWO of your athletes. One of which has done nothing since leaving her coach and the other left the VA/MD/DC area 2 wks after arriving. I also did not make the list or add any athletes to the men's postings.
relax "...", you have too much anger!
How can you leave off Laura DeWald? A 2:32 marathon (back when that was truly world-class) AND gorgeous!
Your criterion about graduating from college is a little weird, though I understand that you're trying to eliminate the transients. But that would, I believe, also eliminate someone like Darrell General, who has lived in the area forever.
Kim Robinson, formerly Markland. Used to live in the DC area, moving back next month. 2:46 and change marathon, winner of the MCM, Olympic Trials Qualifier. Does she make your list?
Good lists by the way
Is this list based on recent performances? I saw Mark Stickley on your list, and assumed that you were going way back in time. Or is Stickley actually still competing?
Kathy Newberry has been on several US Ekiden relay teams, made US Cross team last couple of years, and Track Trials. Heather Hanscome is of course an amazing talent and gutsy runner. Anyone know how she\'s doing? Haven\'t seen much about her since the Trials.
Samia Akbar, Emily Richard, Susannah Kvasnicka, and Ann McGranahan should be on the list if not already. I think it may be Christina Wells with a \"Ch\". She\'s run 2:40, but she\'s had a baby sometime recently, so don\'t know when she\'ll be back.

Stickley has run under 33:00 for 10K recently. I think he was out of the loop for a while but like many became serious again at 40+.
Shouldn't Seneca Lassiter be on this list too? And going back a ways, maybe Steve Hetherington?
im not from the area, so i assumed you slipped Rick Roundtree, Chris Farley, and Eric Estrada as jokes
Like I said, I don't follow women's running as much, I was hoping others would add to the list.
Reasons why I left the college kids off.
1. Again, they are only in the area for 4 years.
2. They race on the track, not on the roads. The coaches would prefer the athletes not to try to "burn themselves out" by running some hippitty dippitty local 5K that has about 50 registrants in the middle of Upper Marlboro.
3. The college kids hardly race against anyone else on the list, so there's nobody to compare them to.
Seriously, how would you compare someone that has run 15:20 for 5,000m on the track compared to a local elite road runner who has run 15:35/5K on a semi-difficult course. There's really no way to measure it. Keep track, x-country and road racing seperate.
Roundtree has run 5:05 for 10K, Farley has run 2:29 for a marathon. No joke.
Stickley has run 32:42 within the past month and a half at the St. Patrick's Day 10K. I see no reason why he doesn't stay on the list as of now.
I think 2:46 would make the cut. Is she cute? Even if you run 3:01 and you're hot as heck, you can still make the list. Being hot subtracts 10 minutes off your overall marathon time. ;-)
Gary you running the Army ten miler again?
Alice, if Chock is "coming home" that means she's leaving Oregon and going back to CALIFORNIA, where she is from. She was in virginia for about 15 minutes if I recall.
For all you other people posting College superstars, the criteria was road races. Lassiter and Webb aren't on the roads, and Lassiter lives in Arizona, if I'm not mistaken.
Debbie Bernardes has always been up there in some road racing/triathalon races, she might crack the top 50 women. Check out
for some race results.
Chuck Moeser may have "retired" but he is still racing. He ran in a tough half-marathon in Williamsburg, VA and he's been doing some 10ks and 5ks between Herdon and Fredericksburg.
Check out that half from Williamsburg, it was featured in RW a while back I think, probably has some metro area studs, as the W&M kids put it on and don't participate.
where do you live now michael??
Alex, yep, too much time right now for you. I ran a 3:29:22 yesterday, so I'm going to Boston! How's your running going? Is there a local results site for you?
Supsic has been in CO since Sept., but will be making a return for the Survivor 7 race in B-more mid June. Will be interesting to see how he does off of many months at altitude with a job that allows him to train more consistent than he had in Charm City.
