Yeah, you gotta feel for Paul Kipsiele Koech. Any other country and the guy would have made the Olympic team with ease.
Anyone noticing how different it is to watch a DL meet versus the Olympics. In a DL, I pretty much only care about who wins. At the Olympics, everyone is celebrating the third placer.
If Rupp runs 2:10 in NY and places third in NY, people dont go ga-ga over it on letsrun.com.
Nothing against Alexa, I think she has a great future, but what really needs to be said is that Efraimson got in there because of someone doing Nike a favor, or some payola going around. No way did she earn a spot in a DL race, was way over her head, and finished last, just as expected.

Why can't nike come up with a slight variation for each country? The whole field looking the same is killing me.

Well, looks like Kiprop and Centrowitz got messed up in the first 100m with all the boxing, I think there was too many people, everyone fought for posititon the first 100, and Kiprop and Centrowitz didn't get it and it messed them up, great run by Souleiman though, 2:13.49, 7th all time.
