People forget there sre no black kids (very few) in China, Poland, Japan, Germany, Russia, Wyoming, Montana, Greece, Spain, Ireland, The Middle East, Yugo/Czech, India, Italy.......so where are their sprinters? No blacks there to do it for them.

If this was an issue, Europeans would dominate as they don't have to deal with a lot of Blacks, especially in the Eastern part of the continent.Look at the 100m all time list from Europe, No Russians, Germans, etc... In the top 10 male, but plenty of Caribbeans or African from Britain. Do kids in Russia get passed by Blacks ??

I have never seen a white kid with speed be told he needs to do something else. If a white kid is fast this will be seen in grade school and early in HS. No coach is.....forget it kid.

First of all, according to you, we don't have a black president, we have a half white president. Nobody ever said blacks can't run distance, but west Africans and those of west African descent are still not very good at distance.

Like someone else said, it's not racist to point out that Swedes tend to be taller than Filipinos, even if there are some short Swedes and some tall Filipinos.

I agree with your premise, however, the issues that have come up are still legit, just because alot of black kids aren't accedemically motivated enoughed to memorize and understand the intricacies of the play book doesnt mean the one that is shouldn't have a shot at QB. Nor should a white kid with good hands be eliminated from WR because of the assumption that he will never be able to get fast enough to be effective in a game even though he is willing to develop his speed such that the difference is marginal.

That's why Andre De Grasse started winning races and putting up impressive times from the first time he stepped on the track. He worked harder than everyone else.

I like this discussion because it never comes up.

I think a brief summation is that black sprinters in general but not always do better on harder surfaces with relaxation techniques and white sprinters in general do better on softer surfaces with more emphasis on peak velocity.

I still think overdistance for sprinters has its benefits if used appropriately, probably would have helped Usain Bolt this season.
