These are top athletes who had their blood tested at international competitions by IAAF, not low level.

Triss, at first I thank you for your links, that can clarify many things about the action of antidoping in the World.

After this, I tell you that you need also to read what there is in the link, before saying something not correct.

You make confusion between Antidoping Tests and Blood tests.

About the blood test at the base of the Biological Passport, China made 193 tests, that are not many, but the fact is that these tests are for the best athletes only (all walkers), and, if you see how many Chinese athletes there were in top 100 of the World in all the disciplines of endurance, you can see how the percentage of samples is very high.

Different is the case of tests fo EPO, testing urine, that are carried out for all the athletes of National Team, a lot of times every year.

You can see how the Agency carrying out more tests for EPO is the German Antidoping Agency (2783 tests), including tests with not German athletes, because the lab of Koeln is one of the most used in the World.

Behind Germany, we find Russian Agency (2518), IAAF (1564) and China (1303 with 745 out of competition).

For comparing with other Countries, US had 910 tests, UK 665, and Norway 121...

When we look at all the antidoping tests for Athletics, for all the events (pag 33 of the WADA report), we see IAAF leading with 4355 tests, but China in second poition with 2854 tests, while other Countries, with a very much higher number of top athletes, are very much far (Russia 1987, US 1396, Germany 914, UK 371...).

About the athletes banned for 2 years only, Chinese Federation had to follow the current rules of WADA in official way (that's the reason for 2 years ban), but inside the Country the same athletes are not allowed to compete (also in local competition) for 4 years, that is the real time of suspension for the athletes (while their coaches lose the job).

Don't forget in China individual activity doesn't exist. All the athletes are paid by their Province (in different amount, depending on the richness of the Province), and can't compete in any competition if not entered by their Province. So, the system for banning the athletes is not like in other Countries : simply, they can't be entered in any competition, becase the Provinces are under the control of the Government of Sport.

If you go to read, patiently, the list of all the sports, you can find China in top positions in all the sport for China important (swimming, gymnastic, and of course tennid table, badminton and other national disiplines).

About the case of Sun Yang, I think he could demonstrate that has to get the medicine for therapeutic use (and don't forget that substance needed to be authorized as therapeuti exemption only from January 2014, before athletes could use it without any restriction).

So, I can confirm again : according my experience in all the most important Countries in the World, China is, at the moment, the most serious Country for fighting again doping, in any sport.

Where do I make confusion about anti doping tests and blood tests?

The tests listed in the WADA testing reports are all doping tests. They are for different programs, but they are all doping tests.

The detection window for EPO is very small. If the athlete microdoses in the evening he will not test positive in the morning, and if he uses full doses it will only take two days before he isn't "glowing" anymore. This means that catching someone for EPO is very, very hard. And without a proper blood profile program to spot who is having suspicious patterns so one can better target who and when to test it is like finding a needle in a cargo ship full of rice. EPO testing without blood profiles is window dressing, the chance of catching a skilled doper is minimal.

4 year bans for the first anti doping rule violation was perfectly possible even before 1 January 2015. Just look at IAAFs list of currently sanctioned athletes. For instance did the low level Italian runner Maksym Cerrone Obrutanskyy get 4 years for his bio passport anomalies from 2013 and the Ukraninan Lyudmyla Yosypenko got 4 years for her ditto from 2011. How can Italians and Ukranians be banned for 4 years for their first ADRV but the Chinese dopers can only be banned for 2 years internationally? It is hardly because the Chinese anti doping is the thoughest.

The Estonian cyclists Peeter Pruus also tested positive for trimetazidine last year. He'd had the drug prescribed by his doctor before the substance was added to WADA's prohibited list. He failed to noticed that it had become illegal to use in competition, kept using it, and was caught. He'd declared the use of the medicine at the form one has to fill out with every doping test, every time. But he wasn't taken care of by the super strict Chinese system, like Sun Yang, and neither was he an Olympic champion, so Pruus got a fully announced 10 month ban, not a 3 month hush hush ban.

Most of them give WADA window 6am to 7am, then micro dose 7:05am. Non detectable by next morning 6am.

Also, if taken every single day, no suspicious pattern, because same every day.
