How someone could be so naive as to think Farah's jump was because of doing extra jumping jacks and sitting in a cryosauna is beyond me. Actually, it's a good sign, in that people still want to believe and look for the good in people. So, good on you. As an aside, I believe the names will be "leaked" soon.

not really - here's the IAAF saying that the pre 2009 numbers don't have the "reliability" or "strength" of the post 2009 values. True the IAAF never says that the old numbers aren't accurate, but they do say clearly that the testing was not AS accurate as it is today. IAAF:

1. The Athlete Biological Passport (ABP) was launched by the IAAF only in 2009, when WADA set out a harmonised regulatory framework allowing the use of reliable and comparable values. That was not the case before 2009 (different sample collections conditions, transportations and analytical equipment…).

I don't buy the "can't tell from a single blood value" argument. If the athlete has a say, HGH ten times the normal value, that would be very indicative of doping IMO.

Paula was pregnant in 2006, absent from running/ injured for most of 2007/8 so I'd be amazed if it were her. rita jeptoo was on the list. Radcliffe took a break through the 2006 season owing to injuries and in July announced that she was expecting her first child. Her comeback was further delayed in 2007 as a result of a stress fracture in her lower back.

Radcliffe chose not to defend her world marathon crown in 2007, in order to undertake further rehabilitation, but insisted she wanted to compete in the next two Olympics. She made her return to competitive running on 30 September 2007, taking part in the BUPA Great North Run in the UK on Tyneside. This was her first race in almost two years. Radcliffe finished second behind US runner Kara Goucher.

Radcliffe made her marathon return at the New York City Marathon on 4 November 2007 which she won with an official time of 2:23:09.

Right at the time they were from an era mostly 10 years before him and if you go before or after them nobody came close. There might be more money in marathon for 2nd tier but the Olympic Champion still bring in the $ and could then move to the marathon and get big invites as Mo has

Komen was better on his day but too short at the top, El G ran a mostly different distance. Geb and Bekele are ahead but he has to come as 3rd to them on competitive record and none of those marathon guys has they speed or mental stength to compete with him on the track

His 12.99 100m and 3:28 1500m spell one word to me EPO but that is now not back then. You lot are all gloating but all those American's running sub 13 - most who had previously not looked close. Come on look to your own back yard America is up there with Russia when it comes to doping or it just your sprinters who have made a mockery of the sport

They test very basic blood parameters that have been used by haematologists for decades. The only reason the one off tests aren't as 'reliable' as post 2009 analysis is the bio passport which tracks the same parameters over a long period. The athlete in question had impossible values even in the context of a one off test.
