The Caster Semenya affair is the single greatest travesty in the history of T&F. Clearly the person is more male than female. This is indisputable. The IAAF allows Semenya to complete as a woman because they are afraid of her legal team.

An honorable person in this position would not compete as a women. I have to conclude that it is being done solely for the money. I also wonder if a caucasian hermaphrodite from Russia would be allowed to compete and win Olympic medals as a woman?

No. The gender tests in the 60s eliminated Irina Press from competition. They used to be pretty strict about gender in the Olympics,

Yes. Hermaphrodyte women have competed, and many more probably did and were never found out or tested.

Just looking at the 800 final most of the women "Look like men" if you take away the long hair. Why didn't any of them have to take sex tests?

Why not just make all olympic and world champ events "open competition"? This would represent a true and pure competition between humans. There would be no issue about people like Caster as they would be free to compete as human beings-and they should have a right to do so if they are talented runners. If people are so obsessed about having a "women only" competition then a "women's" category could be created in the special olympics.

Castor Semenya is clearly a hermaphrodite.

She was born with a vagina. But she has no internal female organs. She has internal male organs (testes) that secrete testosterone that is three times the level of the average female.

This is an example of endogenous masculinization of a female athlete.

There are examples of exogenous masculinization of female athletes in track and field also.

That is where the female athlete takes testosterone as an injection or patch.

Two famous examples were Florence Grifith Joyner who did big time performance enhancing drugs (PEDs) in the 1980's and as a result her voice got deeper and she gee facial hair . . . and of course, broke the 100m and 200m word records.

Another example is the woman who broke the 800m world record of 1:53.28 in 1983. That record stands to this day!

Who was she? A woman named Jarmila Kratochvílová, who basically turned herself into a man, by doing PEDs.

A very trusted and knowledgable friend of mine told me that EVERY world record in Womens track and field (100m to Marathon) was set with the help of PEDs.

speaking as a woman, I'd be pretty pissed off if someone with testosterone levels off the charts would be competing as a woman. I don't care if it's naturally produced or not. Castor has too much testosterone and male sex characteristics to compete on a level playing field with other women.
