That was seriously pathetic. Thankfully, the hockey game was on the tube, so I could watch a sport where people were actually trying!

This is why no one wants to watch track among many reasons. The stars never race each other, and when they do, it's a workout/jogfest.

Good question! I also want to know if the high pollen counts in Eugene are harder on the older runners, like Cheserek, as opposed to say true college aged athletes?

If the "tactics" of certain runners (13:45 workout for May 4th Payton 10k) are not publicised beforehand, I agree it sucks. I think they should just tell everyone, well beforehand, what they are planning to do. I'm really surprised if they didn't, because confusion and anger seem to result from this. The fans deserve to know beforehand if a certain "race" isn't really a race.
