Bo Jackson is the greatest athlete ever. He once ran all the way in the tunnel after a TD. He also avareged almost 75 yards per game rushing in his NFL career. He was a beast!
He was also awesome at baseball cuz he hit a long home run in an all star game and batted over .265 for his career.
I saw him play on Monday Night Football and loved it.

This has to be the dumbest post I've seen on this sight. I guess refrigerator perry was a great athlete lmao. Football is a game. i've seen a ton of footballers try track and quit. While most guys that run track are able to go play basketball, fooball, and baseball etc.. notto mention guys from the islands tha play soccer. trinidon holiday, randy moss, aireese curry, jacoby ford, mike vick, deion sanders, bo jackson (who was known as a freak), etc.... were all track guys. And none of them could hold a candle to Bolt. Football can be learned 9.58 100m time can't be. I've seen some of the most non athletic guys become successful in football. There is no hiding behind your teammates in track. Ashton Eaton would be successful at football waaaaaaaaaaaaay before any player in the NFL would get near where he is on the track. I'm a football junkie and I love track but even I know this.
Best athletes in the WORLD belong to the most popular sport in the world. The most popular sport in the world has the largest talent pool. Soccer is the most popular sport in the world and has the best athletes.
The athleticism in soccer, football, and basketball are all tremendous. Personally I appreciate fitness component of basketball and soccer more than football, but to each his own.
The best athletes in America it would either be football or basketball.

Brandon Banks (return man for the Redskins) is 5'7" and 153lbs (was 149lbs when he got into the league). He was recently demoted, but he's been surviving for 3 years. Eaton would survive just fine (after clearing the cobwebs off the first few hits).

LOL! A dominating NFL RB (we will say top 5) makes between 5 and 8 million dollars a year. A world class sprinter who is not named Bolt makes less than a million a year. Why haven't they made the switch?
