I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Pappas got DQ'd as did a Florida State girl. This is why both schools had massive drops from the original scores.

Apparently apologies being made by officials to Providence for prematurely and erroneously declaring them official champions.
If so, this is a travesty. If Providence is declared the winner, it makes a mockery of the race. I hope both Florida State and Oregon protest the hell out of this. If it is not fixed, I am done with watching NCAA Cross Country.

That should be irrelevant if it did not take place during the race.

The only way I could see Hasay finishing 3rd is if she leaned and D'Agostino thrust her chip across the line. My feed was frozen when they finished, so I don't know.

It looked to me like she got 3rd.
Unsporting conduct should result in a DQ. Oregon should be disqualified.
So a couple girls have a cat fight after the race. If you are incompetent and incapable of dealing with it, you just start DQ'ing people, changing the results of the entire team race? Bullsh@t.
Jordan let up before the finish line but was already easing off after giving up trying to catch Saina. D'Agostino was pushing the whole time and drawing her in. When Jordan let up a few meters from the finish, D'Agostino overtook her.
Was NYRR behind the timing snafu?

Agreed. Something after the race should not affect the competition.
She should be arrested and charged with battery if she punched someone.
I agree you get into a fight you do get disqualifed this happens at every level even after an event has been concluded. It happens all the time after a finish in track.
