Hardee probably would have trouble getting into the top hundred. Top CrossFit compettors would not be able to compete at all at the national level in the decathlon. The field events and hurdles require yers of spedialized technique to become even passably competent.
Froning is a joke.
This who thread of Froning vs Hardee is a joke as well.
Hardee beats Froning in basically everything from the 60 meters to the marathon, jumps, and all throws. The only thing Froning wins against Hardee in is a few things at the gym. Big deal.
And Hardee weighed 210-215 versus Fronings light 195-205 lbs.
Froning isn't even competition. Froning only has a weak PR of 1:00 in the 400 at like 197lbs body weight. Lol. Can't imagine how slow his 800 to marathon times would be.
I'll just copy and paste my latest reply to this from my deadlift thread.
""" The only thing Hardee can beat me in now is jumps and up to 400 meters only due to him focusing on the decathlon and sprints for his entire life. I'm playing catch up right now to get back all of my speed I should have had.
Anything from 600 meters to the marathon i'll beat Hardee pretty badly in and basically everything at the gym i'll beat Hardee pretty badly in. And I win against Hardee in basically all of the throws.
And then yeah Hardee can beat me in pole vault. Who cares about pole vault though? It's not a test of strength.
So let's review again.
Hardee " was " 6'5 and 210-215 at his peak at like age 31. His max bench is only 340.
My max bench right now at age 41 naturally is 435 lbs at 6'0 and 216-220 based on left arm strength.
Wait let's do the math. I'm blowing Hardee away in bench by over 95 pounds at similiar body weights.
And 340 is def his max because here he is struggling with 335 in this instagram video claiming way back in 2016 that he was approaching a PR. LOL.
https://www.instagram.com/p/BB-xpX3FPJb/But first before we get into the finer details let's back up a bit as to why i'm calling out the so called greatest athlete on the planet to ever exist. Because Hardee was by far the strongest decathlete ever. Nobody else within the decathlete world since 1890 is even worth mentioning because they are too weak in the gym.
In this video from Red Bull at the :55 mark on you can clearly hear Trey saying that the dumb little decathlon is the................" Ultimate measuring stick for all around capability of the human body" .....
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQXgq-O9jEkReally ? Yeah no it's not. There's so much more that goes into it other than 10 little dumb decathlon events.
So without getting into too much detail yeah pretty much Hardee gets beat really badly in anything in the gym by me.
Ok great so with all of Treys sprint experience and long legs he wins from the 60 meters to 400 meters against me. Ok great. And he wins in every jumping event as well. Ok i'll give him that. ( Only due to my lack of sprint experience since i've only become a sprinter from Jan 2015 till now)
But I have way more distance running experience than Hardee does so that's where I start to make up ground on him. And i'll beat him in basically anything from the 800 to the marathon. Which is how many events? 800, 1500, 3000, 5K, 10K, marathon etc. Add them all up. That counters against his sprint experience.
But if he's been doing sprints for so long and has all of that explosive power then why am I basically beating him really bad in the gym? Oh wait. I know. It's because he basically weak. That's why.
Typically distance runners don't maintain this level of power throughout their distance running careers. Take Symmonds for instance. Can barely do 380 on deadlifts. Probably only benches 225. Distance running destroys muscles from the inside out. It's a known fact. The fact that i'm this much stronger than Trey and I still did distance and 400s from 1993 till 2015 really tells you how weak he really is.
Lol, a peak 31 year old Hardee is getting beat by a 41 year old in the overall fitness category.""""""..............................................................
