You don't think they qualify for the race? They are all more 5000M runners and don't have a lot of proven 10K experience. But at least a handful of them would have earned a spot in the race if they wanted to I would think.

Again, you do not understand. They have not qualified for the Kenyan 10,000 meter trials. I believe they have about 15 or 17 runners who are eligible to compete in the Kenyan 10,000 meter trials at Pre.

Exactly. I wasn't saying Rupp was going to run 12:45, this is just a good chance for him to run fast. He'll definitely break 13 minutes. 12:45 would be his career peak.

26:48 is worth 12:54, at best. You realize how rare 12:50s are now? A general rule of thumb, take your 5k and times it by two and then add a minute.

Bekele paid for the pace setting. El G ran great, but was too new to a true world class 5K to pull out the win with a kick.

Pre would dig it, as long as someone sets a suicide pace. Rupp can run very well on a tough pace, I'd think.

When AlSal said Rupp will run 12:45, I think he was saying at some point. Also, Rupp's indoor 5k and outdoor 10K PR suggests he easily a sub-13 guy.
