No way! Both were very good to watch, but Coe was much biomechanically more economical. When he was at his best he just glided and showed very little tightness in the upper body, unless you're talking about the last 20m in a WR, like the 1000m. I think most would tie up running a 2:12!
Cram looked great from side on, and had a huge loping stride, but biomechanically he was flawed. Watch him from full on and he has quite a marked foot displacement. Also, when he starts hurting he really starts to roll his head like Zatopek did.
