Now, as far as being an either/or thing - please note that I never said anything to that effect. The fact that you pull that out of your ass says something about you and nothing at all about me.

Regarding "hate and stress" - again, something that you are pulling out of your ass. I will have to admit that it is very sad when people are incapable of understanding what is actually being written and instead feel compelled to make up nonsense, project it onto others, and then react to their own nonsense.

I am fairly certain that every single day of the year is celebrated as a holiday by someone. So, which ones do you celebrate and why?

My wife has dementia from brain cancer and the radiation that finished the job cognitively..so, I didn't get her anything except I am getting her fit for a leg brace in an hour from now to see if that will help her walk again..so, that is a gift of a sort.

Here are the FACTS:1) Adele CD was $11.99 plus tax. The Lovely Mrs. Flagpole loves Adele, isn't a huge chocolate lover, is practical enough to not go crazy over flowers (we have rose bushes in the yard, so we have roses all summer), so this CD was a good choice.2) I'm no FAN of ANY politician...I just pick the lesser of two evils, and with the economy improving, and with a poll out today that Obama is up by 8 points over Romney and even more over Santorum and Gingrich, it is just clear to me (and SHOULD be to everyone) that Obama wins a second term...perhaps by a landslide.3) Yes, I AM the most sensible and best poster on Letsrun. That is CRYSTAL clear.

No, you are wrong. I worked at a Whole Foods one summer.

Whole Foods has a wonderful floral department and all of their flowers are grown and shipped in a sustainable manner. Most florists use South American flowers that are grown using HORRIBLE, inhumane labor and shipped via airplane.

Whole Foods uses domestic flowers sourced locally.

They also seem to get the arrangements done right. They are not gaudy and they do not use ugly vases and tacky dressage.

Depending on where you live, they may be cheaper or more expensive than the other florists. I guarantee that they are better.

I don't care about Valentines Day at all, but Whole Foods does the floral thing right, and you need to check it out.
