the course is macadam for almost the entire race except for the first 100m start which is over a soccer field and the final 100m which is the track's straightaway.
the first mile is all flat but the second mile is a pretty long uphill for the most part. Last mile is almost all downhill and you can fly.

Correction. There are very few racists who are happy about this performance. But they are certainly excited and agitated. And we less racist fans of running are quire excited about it
