Winners of races who strain and work for it, yuck. It is all about how you look while you run, if you look good in 3rd then you're destined for great things. That's why I always run well within myself so I have a good final sprint to impress all the spectators, yeah, I'm awesome like that.

I think that there is pretty much zero evidence to support this. He twice won USA juniors, the second time completely destroying Derrick and Puskedra in the process. I'd say that smart people are never going to realize something that is false. Whereas the not-so-smart are often quick to "recognize" fallacies as truths.
A healthy GF is an awesome XC runner. He just hasn't been healthy in quite some time.
