It's clear you don't give Jenny Barringer Simpson the respect she deserves, but can you at least give her the credit of getting her name right? It would be JBS if you don't feel like spelling it out. Not that you know or particularly care who Jenny is. You definitely didn't know her PR is 2 seconds faster than Morgan's. How does that factor into your hypotheticals? It's also clear you've never been a middle distance runner -- at least not a good one. Part of these races is knowing how to steer clear of trouble. Jenny was behind Morgan and could easily have gone down as well. Every middle distance runner knows that luck plays a role, but to discredit Jenny's steeplechase experience and ability to stay out of trouble just wouldn't be -- what was it? Fair.

I'm not gutted. It seems she didn't get hurt from the fall, but certainly could have been. If she got hurt, now THAT would have gutted me.

Of course, I would have liked to see Morgan kicking with Jenny the last 100m, but I'm sure there will be many more chances to see that.

I guess I like to see consistency trump at all on the big day- someone who had proven their metal throughout the season alas this is not always the case especially in world champs.

I congratulate Jenny on her victory and I hope to see Morgan back to her winning ways again soon

For me a world medal has to be EARNED and JB has done nothing this year to suggest she is worthy of it. Kudos for being able to capitalise on the mistakes of others but in all honesty she got lucky.

Can't we be happy that someone from the USA got gold? It not like Jenny tripped Uceny. It happened. Jenny was the best on that day. Sometimes life is not fair.

No one blames anyone. Even the one who clipped her. Though there seems to be a few who wish to tear down JBS 's achievement.

But its no difference in bike races. Hang around in the back of the field and you'll eventiually fall over someone.

The reason we run races is to see who the most deserving person is. Uceny is a juggernaut who can't keep on her feet. Simpson outran the world's best, not whoever fit the budget of a Diamond League meet. Therefore, Simpson deserved it because.... SHE EARNED IT.

Absolutely. I always said there should be two stages to a Gold medal:

1) Win the event

2) Turn up in court the next day to justify why you think you are worthy of receiving the medal. If you satisfy the jury you get gold. Your competitors prosecute, you defend.

Ha ha funny. Jenny B.S. has had Anna Willard Pearce's number from the get-go. She owned her in the steeple and now in "her" (Anna's) even, the 1500. Anna will NEVER be a factor on the world stage like Jenny B.S is and will be. Anna doesn't have "it" and Jenny does. Deal with it.

Anna was heralded as the sprinter and she still gets out kicked by Jenny constantly. Anna always has an excuse while Jenny always has a race!
