I guess that the thing that disturbed me most about Hangover 2 was the lack of a balanced view of Bangkok.
Yes, you know I'd be lying to you if I said that "there isn't any drugs, prostitution or violence in Bangkok," but there are also some very high-class, beautiful and peaceful areas.
For example, Lumpini Park and Benjakitti Park are 2 of the nicest urban training venues that you would every find in a major Asian city. When I was doing a long walk in Benjakitti park today, I felt so removed from the the normal experience of a major urban area.
Again, the screenwriters of Hangover 2 purposely left out any of the nicer spots of Bangkok such as the high class shopping malls, beautiful parks, 5 star hotels, etc.
Another thing that I forgot to mention in the original post was the portrayal of Buddhist monks as violent. I could tell in the theater that the Thais in the audience did not find that amusing at all.
