emotional attachments are not the best place to negotiate from as any negotiator will tell you. when you are told she is worth this amount when you believe the love of your life is worth so much more , bad formula.

When she is at her career end , things do get harder , value drops , it's not pretty. Husband when it's all over is left standing. He cannot compete against well managed , multiple level and discipline athletes agent groups.

This is hard to explain to them when they are at the peak it becomes reality on the ascent down closer to the bottom than the top.

Thank you all for your encouraging words for my recent marathon in Eugene, Oregon. The day of my race was very special for many reasons. Not only did I compete my first marathon, but I was also able to raise more than $3,000.00 dollars for a special cause I feel dear in my heart, the Tillman Foundation.

Secondly, My wife, Shalane Flanagan, ran a great run at the Payton Jordan Invitational. Shalane ran her third sub 31 min 10km. She is only one of 14 female runners to every to accomplish this feat.

Thirdly, the evening of May 1st, our US soldier found and took care of Osama Bin Ladin. Making my efforts and fundraising even more gratifying than ever.

Once again thanks for everything and I have linked my Tillman Foundation fundraising homepage to this posts in efforts to encourage you all to support our troops. No donation is too big or too small.

No its a token for getting to sign the wife and maybe the only way they could get her by giving him a job. Many qualified people out there that should have had the job way before "Steve".

His job will be simple , take care of the wife.

I feel good knowing Kimba is taking care of her.

Steve has class, integrity, and loves his wife and job very much.

He and Shalane new shortly after they got married, that he would forego his career in sports media. As it was, while she would in Europe running, he would be working in Japan. They were apart for extended periods of time.

It was a smart decision when Steve became her training partner and eventually her agent.

Who else has a greater desire to look out for her interests?

No one is saying what he is doing is not smart and will benefit her or that his sacrifice of a sports media job is admirable. No one is in question of his integrity , or the love of his wife or job.

No, Steve had a lot of sports management experience. He worked for two summers with a sports management company out of NYC. Then he worked for a year with a sports media company following college. His later experience is already mentioned in this thread. He probably has more knowledge and experience than most Kimbia agents.

I have no idea why you think you know anything about him.

Let me tell you something else about Steve. Steve is a class act. Not the kind of guy that would go online and talk shit about someone. I love to see you meet Steve.

Also, lets not forget that Steve graduated from UNC; one of the best universities in the world. Where did you go to school?
