D2 and D3 DMR's.... Really??

Alright girls, this argument is old news. Go change your diapers and get on with your lives.

I can't speak for d3 but this was a really weak year for D2 in all the distance events. You can argue altitude but compare last years results to this year....where nat's was held in the same place. Disappointing year! Wish Adams would have stepped up like usual to redeem D2 distance

DII suffered due to the late XC season and the impending WC year. Our two XC national champions (Crouch and Spence) each delayed their training schedules in hopes of running at their national trials this year. Its obvious from the times run during the season that DII athletes in general have not been into the sharpening phases of their training. Most of our elite athletes competed hard until December, and are now only 3 months into solid training again.

Also, last year was the strongest year overall of the last 10 years in Division II distance running. there were a number of factors that made this year look relatively "weak" for Division II distance running.

These threads are just ridiculous. Why does it matter where the f*** you run? We should all just be FANS of the sport an support anyone who works hard to improve. I'll go off topic for a sec: this goes along with people on here bashing runners constantly (even after steady improvement), people seriously bashed Symmonds for running his fastest opener of his career..really???? But back to the point. I root for any person who is busting his/her behind to get better, no matter where he/she started as an athlete. d1/d2/d3 is just a way to level the field so everyone has a chance to IMPROVE and feel encouraged to achieve their goals. d2 and d3 athletes KNOW that their not as fast as d1 athletes overall. The clock doesn't lie. But why would some of you come on here and bash guys who just WON their national championship because they weren't as fast as BYU? Insecurities? Jealousy? I'm just happy I get to show up to practice every day, do something I love with my friends and compete with athletes that I respect. I don't care if they're Bernard Lagat or some 4:45 miler. At least they're in college, working toward something and living a healthy life. Good luck to yall.

Of course D2 will be a little down this year, 3 of the best D2 runners ever graduated last spring.

Braun - 7.51/13.36

Medigovich - 13.28

Mwei - 8.32 SC + national cross champion

Then two other top D2 guys in Mcniff (14.03) and Cragg (13.51) didn\'t have indoor eligibiity. So it\'s no suprise that this years meet looked a little weak compared to last years.

Things go in cycles, some years are stronger some years are weaker.

Not too add to this pissing contest but many good D2 schools don't do indoor at all.
