He paid Bei appearance fees and expenses instead of local girls that could run for far cheaper the price. But Bei is so gorgeous she sells tickets. Millrose is watered down so much already it's 1/10 of what it used to be. At least they had Bei who won. Just be happy Millrose is still held every year in the middle of the disasterous 2008 George W. Bush Economic Recession.

Part of the problem might be the widespread objectification apparent in people referring to women as "girls."

I should not have clicked on that. Very gross. (tough as nails though to finish like that) She was very much in the race, but fell off the back after the puking started. The pace was slow until the end and she has a good kick so it might have ended up well for her, even if 3k is a little long.
She apologized on twitter to anyone who saw the video feed after viewing it herself, on account of the severe grossness of the video.

Sara is representing our country internationally. She won a gold medal for the U.S. in the steeplechase at the Pan American Games.

So, we criticize people for having jobs, making money and doing well at them? She just won how many of her last races? Gotta hate when people win races and need to retire. Heck, I think retirement should be mandatory for all non-world record holders.
If Sara lived in any other part of the US other than Southern Calfornia / Los Angeles she'd probably would have retired by now.
But you can't sop competing when there are so many L.A. top T&F medalists and athletes around like Meb, Deena, her husband Ryan, Carmelita, Johnny, Allyson, Jason Richardson, Sholonda, Alice, Bryan, Shawn, Ginnie, the list goes on.
