"SAW"
Bloodsucking Freaks
Vertigo
Falling in love with somebody who does not even exist, that's hard to beat
Jules et Jim
The original menage et trois. Someone asked the author of the book why he waited until he waited until he was 76 to write the book 'I was too busy enjoying myself!'
Roman Holiday
A true holiday romance visited all the places in the film with my wife last year. Need to go back and have a go on the scooters though!
Casablanca
Has everything you need in a film
Before Sunrise
Closest thing to a French romantic film ie not much happens only the most important thing
A Heart in Winter
Just to look at Emmanuelle Béart
Now I've just remembered:
Any film by Eric Rhomer. Nearly all of his films are about relationships and unusually from a film you can actually learn something from them (or in my case steal bits and pretend I made them up, The Green Ray, Pauline at the Beach, 4 films - the tale of 4 seasons. A lot of his films have a pivitol moment around which the film revolves - like the jumper over the head in love in the afternoon
Not sure if you philistines would appreciate his work though!
bed and bored
One more:
Once
A busker and an polish girl meet by chance in Dublin as they write, rehearse and record songs that tell their own stories of love
The pair in the film actually wrote all the songs and they decided to put them up for the lead acting roles too
Rochelle, Rochelle
Good film ruined by a sub-par musical adaptation.

Nice choice!

"Say Anything" (unforgettable boom box scene)
"Serendipity"
Nikeman has an extensive chick flick collection. I don't like typical chick flicks because they are too predictable. "Say Anything" is good because it's actually funny and I think it appeals to both men and women. The only thing I have against it is the female character, Diane Court. I don't know if it's the actress or what, but I just don't like her. Can't help but like John Cusack though, so he makes up for her.
Now for my picks...
Personal Favorite: Love Actually
Classic: Breakfast at Tiffany's
Chick Flick: Sleepless in Seattle
Musical: Moulin Rouge
Atypical: Lost in Translation
Corny-Funny: 17 Again
Based on a True Story: Walk the Line
Appeals to Males/Females: Going the Distance
80's: Pretty in Pink
Platoon.
Midnight express
Let me know when you want to get together to watch it again...

I actually liked the now forgotten "Untamed Heart" with Christian Slater and Marisa Tomei
