I'm just really curious to see what Lukas will run in a race with these guys. 359 would be so sweet.

Idiot's and Burke's discussion was not about Webb's chances on winning, but whether Webb has the mental toughness to recover from setbacks - like a poor performance in this Boston Mile.

The facts are that Webb has consistently had bad performances, and then bounced back.

I expect steady progression from last summer.

I just hope that, if nothing else, the field doesn't get destroyed by the ONE no-name African, like in many other "North American Dream Miles" we've seen...

Verzbicas goes very close to 4:00, but can't break through the 4 minute barrier. I would like to see him break it though. He's a good kid, so I'll be pulling for him. After reading the interview with him I just don't think he's going to crack 4 minutes.

The thing about Webb is that he's been relevant for TEN YEARS. Maybe not on top, but always relevant. Name another runner that has been relevant that long.

I have absolutely no idea what kind of shape everyone is in, but I guess that's the fun of predictions. I'm guessing they'll get out okay for the first quarter, but the pace will lag in the middle as they try to decide who leads. willis stays back a little too far, but makes up a lot of ground in the last 50m. the last 300 or so will be quick:

What on earth are you talking about? Plese crawl back into the hole you came out of.

Webb has never peaked indoors. Even in HS he went 359 indoors then 353 outdoors. Webb has done little to note since his SR year in hs indoors. He certainly does not have a history of peaking in early February. His 800 pr is 1:52, and 1k prs is from HS, and his mile pr of 355 (run at BIG in 2007) was a prelude to his AR in the mile outdoors in July, and his 3k pr indoors is 7:47. Hardly any times that indicate he "peaks" in feb for a guy with 1:43/3:30/3:46/8:11/13:10/27:34 prs. What about his indoor prs indicates your baseless statement?
