Wny didn't the cameraman shoot the finish from behind the runners? With a little zoom, it would have been fine. He could have then run around to the finish at the first substantial gap.

There needn't be a plan at all. All the idiot needed to do is use his brain. Realizing that he would miss the finish if he tried to beat the runners to it, he should have simply filmed from where he was.

Great free coverage but I saw that disaster coming when they mentioned their plan midway through the race. It demonstrates a lack of seriousness from USATF. I think moreso than Runnerspace. USATF could have taken it's partner more seriously.

Otherwise, nice races by the top 5 or 6.

Wejo, how did he manage to close the 5 meters on Hall? I think that's what were all wondering.

can we get some results on the women's side? and maybe top 5 - top 10 for the men?

He ran at a pace faster than Hall to make up the 5m for the first down.

Looks like the entire marathon course could be over a minute slower with trying to copy London course---

On the men's side don't know how many yet under 1:05---but after the top 3--Basil- was about 1:02:48, Jason L a second or so back, Vail 1:02:50---then ??? Torres in there. My guess only about 15 or so under 1:05.

Well, IMO, Hall had a very good race. There was a lot of uphills, a lot of turns, and it was a very tactical race and he still managed a pretty good finish. I'd say if this was as fast as the previous Half course his time would be ~sub 1:01. So a good race by Hall.

Pre-Race Meeting

Runnerspace employee #1: So what about the men's finish? We can't drive through the finish. We'll need to get off at like 13 miles. Then what?

Employee #2: Let's stick Timmy on the men's truck. He's fast. What'll happen is, Timmy can jump out of the truck and then sprint and get set up at the finish. Timmy, you up for it?

Timmy: You bet! Those guys will have already run 13 miles. They'll be tired.

I agree. Missing the finish is unacceptable. USATF has to get that covered.
