I'm an NXN type because I like the team concept, it has nothing to do with pr's.

Did Noelle consider Syracuse? ...just say'n.

Futsum Zeinasellassie is actually a junior this year.

Chad has run xc races before FLNE, just not strictly hs races. One of the courses was definitely tougher than Sunken Meadow too, although that course is extremely difficult as posted earlier. Put out some blistering times in those races as well.

Good point on Syracuse. I wonder why he didn't want to go there. Program is definitely on the upswing.

35 mpw under a new coach is not "taking it to the next level"

lanana is eager because he sees how fast this kid ran with a shit coach. with decent coaching and more mileage than my freshmen run, he'll reach the next level

I heard that there was a thread on Chad on this site. I thought it would be interesting. People are entitled to their opinion of course. There must be a huge amount of jealousy for so much bashing on an athlete or the coach. Chad's coach has done some good stuff with kids that were far less talented, so to see what happens this season/year is going to be pretty fun. I have met both and they are both quality people looking to do the best for Chad, not only for now, but the future. I for one can't wait to watch him run his 4th Cross Country race, the only pressure he has will be the pressure he puts on himself. There were other people that were supposed to be at Footlocker, not this rookie. Good Luck Chad...run like the wind!!!!

FLNE is a great race and deserves more credit than it gets. Everyone just goes to NXN because it's much better.

If all of the Northeast runners went to FL the race would be much more competitive. The Northeast is probably the best region in the nation.

I guarantee that Noelle will finish top five in San Diego this weekend. New York doesn't get enough credit.

Look at the race between Cheserek and how badly he beat Pearson. NXN was so much better than Footlocker

Ugh...why would I talk about track PRs? I said taken as a whole (you understand what that means, don't you?), the performances at FLNE were superior to the NXN NE/NY Regionals (combined). That was the direct comparison until you went off on a tangent.

Mazzaccaro was 15th, Elkaim was 73rd, and Rosa was 78th at NXN 2010, but with those track prs, I'm SO SURE they would have beaten Noelle. Hahahaha.

Another guy who is commited to Oregon is Matt Jablonski. Both of these guys have limited running histories, but have unbelievable potential. Would you say that Noelle is better than Jablonski?

If you run 75 miles per week and you aren't breaking about 16:00, you should

A) run faster. Faster workouts, faster overall pace, etc.

B) Actually try in a race.

Didn't McGowan beat Jablonski by 25+ seconds late in the season? Not sure if that was just an off day for him or not. At any rate, Noelle then defeated McGowan at FLNE by a few seconds.
