Ryan Sheridan to Nova

1. jared welsh quit the team over the summer because of the way he had been disrespected over his 2 years with ricardo and gavin.

2. others like roland graves and chris vizcaino transferred in the past because of ricardo and gavin

3. sheridan lost the respect of most of the locker room before he quit, then lost even more after he quit.

4. sheridan actually quit because the coaches questioned his committment to the team when he was unable to run due to his stomach problem.

The sex scandal had nothing to do with Sheridan quitting.

Exactly!!!! Sheridan is a class act and bright young man, who is graduating early as far as I can guess (think he came to Iona in 2007). This may not be the coaches as it may have very well have been the AD who drew a sharp line on where he could transfer. I hope Sheridan has a healthy year next year and helps make the men's team fully competitive with Syracuse and Providence.

p.s. A few bad apples and b-team scrubs behaving like "children" is putting it mildly; behaving like scum might be more apt.

its seems like running your best athlete from you're college because he didn't drink with you is pretty scummy, just saying

I'm not sure of what exactly is going on over there, but this should be a red flag for potential student-athletes to stay clear of this program. If one of the best and most respected runners of a program wants to leave, it speaks volumes.
