I had made many attempts to run higher mileage (70-85) in the years before that and always got hurt. I've made attempts since then, same story. Perhaps I will figure out the sweet spot eventually.
maybe you need more turn over nor volume..I will peak @ 65mpw for 8k-half marathon.. my best results are from 40-55mpw from 1k to 10k..above 65 i am fatigued and cannot recover

Man, you Yankees all dumb. In Russia, we have this thing called "analysis". Miles per week don't tell you much. 2 people can run 50 miles a week yet get very different results. It's how you run those miles is what matters. One might be running speedwork, the other not. So it's possible one gets 14:00 5K and the other 17:00. I hope this is simple for you Yankees to understand.
Me. I ran a 13:48 on track on 48 miles a week but lots of speedwork. Another time I ran a 14:55 on 65 miles a week but no speedwork.

Yes, we know..this is just a statistical study on average miles to average times..that is all..plus, it also depends if its 800m guys running a 5k or a marathoner..he just wants mileage with PR times that is all..if he wanted extreme detail he would ask to full training plans..u understand, yes
