Who is going to win the individual title in the womens NCAA XC race?

well laura hoer is good for upsets in big races so that's who gets my vote

LVD hasnt been challenged in weeks with the exception of her sister... Lucy Van Dalen for the win with Holly in top 5

A good list, and I would add Emily Sisson to it though. She is very experienced racing in big meets for a College Freshman.

I'm picking Reid first, Hoer second

I dont see how anyone would pick against Jordan. It doesn't look as if she's running hard at all...just enough to win.

When everyone is so close, I tend to lean towards the milers, who can kick down that finishing straigth. Trouble is, we've got four girls with PR's in the 4:13 range! I'll have to go LVD, SR, JH and EI in that order. Schaaf, Hoer, Kamaiyo, HVD and Sisson will be up there until the kicking starts.

true and no one really mentions this person but last springs NCAA 1500m champ and indoor mile champ Charlotte Browning is in this race too. she ran great early on, had a sub par pre nats. came back pretty well at conference and regionals. She's the fastest 1500m running in the field with a 4:09 pr from the summer euro season. She could def close faster than all these girls and win it if she's close. i dont see her fitness being where it needs to be to be there for the finish but at worse she's top 20.

Don't forget about the other Duck who will be on America's top model in 2 years. She can win it!

I agree superawesomeness. I saw Hasay run as a 12 year old at Stanford, have great respect and would like to see her win. But watching Hoer lift her tempo so easily to win big races, she is whole package, and runs wisely. Hoer reminds a bit of Defar, who has another gear when healthy. Hoer, Van Dalen, Hasay and Reid will all be there, but, in spite of the lack of track times, Hoer looks like she has a turbocharger which hasn't yet been tested in winning three big meets.

she was fourth at prenats. "turbocharger" wasn't there when the van dalen twins turned it up last k. good luck to hoer i say she's top freshman. will win flo frosh award

dont know who hoer is yet, but IF (and that is a gigantic IF) she is like defar she wont have any need to use another gear, as she would be would be about 90 seconds to 2 minutes ahead of second place when she finishes

Darkest Horse - Megan Hogan will surprise with a top 5 finish, maybe a win

Sheila Reid is a warrior. She will destroy the field last km.

catherine white is red shirting this year! hence how she hasn't raced at all this xc season.

Megan Hogan is impressive, but was no match for Reid @ regionals. Reid literally jogged it in for a dominating win while Hogan steadily died to finish a distance 3rd. Top 20 in a very strong field would be an excellent finish for Hogan @ ncaas

Emily Infeld almost FTW!!! I knew she was going to perform well, but didn't expect 2nd. nice job!

Great race by Sheila Reid. Good to see a Cannuck kicking the US butts. Newmarket Huskies rule OK
