Well first off I wouldn't really consider lopes white, but anyway... Did you even watch the '76 10k? He was absolutely CRUSHED by a white distance runner. Viren wasn't even as good in 76 as he was in 72 anyway....
Portuguese are not white. They are part Semitic from the 800 year Moor Conquest from Nort Africa. At the time Portugal was less than aboriginal primitive people, and a were part of Spain. The Arab Moors taught the Portuguese how to clean themselves and to how separate animals and human waste from cooking and living areas. Portuguese are the same race as Jews and Arabs. By your definition, then Solinsky isn't white either. ATH also invaded Poland and Germany. Ok, you convinced me. Both Solinsky and Carlos Lopes are NOT white. Solinsky has as much asian and mongoloid as Lopes does.

well Joan Benoit Samuelson had the world record in the marathon for two years, the AR for two decades, and a gold medal in the Olympic Games. I'm not calling her the greatest white distance runner of all time, and I understand that men's racing is deeper, but I don't think Solinsky is close to her pedigree yet, let alone Zatopek or Shorter.
