It didn't bring shame on GB athletics you arse-head. It was just a bit of racing, I don't suppose at that pace you have too much time to consider your tactics and he did it out of instinct.
East wasn't too surprised about getting DQd and he'll probably not do it again so why don't we just leave it?
I'd still have given him more respect if he kicked his ass in a straight line instead. I was never taught to veer down the finishing straight like a pissed virgin, (in fact I was never taught to do much) but run like hell in a straight line.
It was only a 300m race anyway wasn't it?
Hear hear. Shame on British Athletics? Like Dwain Chambers? Or Jason Livingston? Or Carl Myerscough? I've rarely read such self important, pompous shite. To stoop so low as to impede another runner is incomparable with sticking a needle in yourself and conning the whole world.
He's been disqualified for it and has accepted the consequences in a dignified manner. Shame would have been spitting the dummy John Drummond or Linford Christie style.
East did what many would do in his situation. Short of pulling the man down you do anything you can to get over that line first.
Give the lad a break - he's doing more than nayone else to put middle distance back on the map and doesn't need holier than thou idiots mouthing off and trying to discredit him.
