George Johnson will be running for La Salle in the fall. That should easily offset the loss of Jones. La Salle is going to now throw some serious shed parties!!!

I heard the reason Tyler Jones left LaSalle was because Chucky T wasn't down with all that cocaine he was using. North Philly all day

funny you should mention that. I talked to a friend with Lasalle connections, and after a few brewskies, got him to spill this news:

Lasalle xc is up for ncaa drug testing this year. Apparently it is an open secret in Explorers running circles that Jones is a fan of that philly chronic. In an attempt to avoid the shame of a positive drug test from their best runner, he was encouraged to spread the word that he's leaving the team and "transfering." As soon as the the testing period is over, expect him back in the blue and gold.

Coincidence that we can't come to a conclusion on exactly *where* he's transfering? I think not.

O.K. I was actually on the LaSalle team last year. While I cannot comment on the drug test scenario, I can confirm that Jones is transferring. Starting next year he will join forces with fellow former A10 studs George Johnson, Ryan Garvin, and Brian Dougherty to create a juco xc juggernaut in Ocean County, New Jersey. Expect them to tear it up on the Eastern Seaboard, but alas, they will have no impact on the A10 this year.

Now can we put that issue to rest, please? Thank you. So when do the pre-season rankings come out, and whats cookin with the rooks?

Fordham, Richmond, and Charlotte have already announced their recruits on their athletic websites. Any other known recruits were what was pulled off of DyeStat declaration listings. I know UMass doesn't announce recruits formally, but I don't know when the other schools will announce anything.

Man the a10 thread is weak this year. Just a bunch of St. Joe's and Temple runners with nothing better to do than try to be funny on a letsrun forum. And there is no controversy as to where Jones is going, it's William and Mary. Period. Can we get back on track...

oh how original, a temple kid tries to be funny by pretending to blast other temple/st. joe's kids for being funny on LetsRun. I'm surprised you can be that creative. Maybe a St. Joe's education isn't as much of a joke as I thought.

Breaking news!! Kevin McDonnell has been kicked off the Saint Joes squad due to his poor hygiene. The program decided it was in their best interest to move on. Long time assistant coach Fred tullos confirmed it earlier this morning. Big loss for the program. Look for saint joes to finish towards the bottom of A10 this year.

so i know quite a few people in la salle circles and they say that torpey really is going to be the assistant coach at sju staring this fall. "f tullus coorespondent" was right. lol. i can't even believe this. if it is really true, i can't imagine what SJU will be like this year. (and ha-ha, kevin mcdonnell did NOT get kicked off sju's team, i asked sum1 i know there but even if he did, it wouldn't matter, i bet at least a few lasalle guys will transfer to sju, not to mention torpey was always the best recruiting beast in the east. conference may be up for grabs this year, but i would be shocked if an sju dynasty of sorts does not begin very soon.

i can confirm this as true. sparks will be flying at hawk hill this fall!

hiyaaa everybody. i am a temple runer, i think our team has a real god chance at being a10 champs this year derrrrr. we got fith last year and almost beat la sail so that means we're sooo good. also, we love the corse at dewkane so there's no way we lose
