Old Runner Guy - where are you?????????????? Surely you won't believe this article or the quotes by Landis. I'm guessing you think he was telling the truth before but was pressured into "lying" now as part of some great conspiracy.

IMO, anyone who actually believed Landis never took PEDs was out of their mind. The same goes for Lance.

Fake Sports that are phony bull are: MLB, NFL, WWE, UCI, UFC, NHL, Weightlifting, others.

A decade ago I stopped watching or paying for tickets to each of those sports.

I don't watch the Super Bowl, World Series, Monday Night Football, or any NFL, NHL, MLB games at all period. I avoid the staged and totally fake UFC / WWE / MMA, and body building.

I watch and buy tickets to college football, college basketball, and NBA games.

I travel to most Summer Olympics, IAAF Outdoor World Championships, and Footlocker HS XC West & Nationals.

Because nobody in college football takes steroids.

Maybe I do, but I'm 19 years old and I'm the only person I know in my old HS district who runs and cycles, and he is my hero. I think he is clean. I think Landis is just pissed and trying to bring everyone else down.

They are all dirty plain and simple. You are seriously telling me Lance Armstrong, Leipheimer and Hincape are clean while the rest of the other decent cyclist they have competed against over the past several years have either tested positive or been implicated in a drug ring. Come on. You have to dope to compete in cycling. If you don't you have no chance to actually win anything substantial.

It baffles me that anybody could possibly think that any rider in the top 10 of tour de france from about 1970 to 2006'ish were clean. Even more baffling is how people think that Lance won all those tours clean when all of the best people in the world were getting caught for the juice left and right and he was still dominating them. If Lance was clean he was beating the best guys in the world while they were juiced. To me its not even remotely possible to think somebody could do that. That is enough evidence for me right there.

Floyd Landis is nothing but a fraud. A liar, a cheat. And suckered us, No matter how you put it. He spent his entire worth of $2 million dollars defending himself, where he knew he wasn't innocent. And now, where he doesn't have a pot to piss in, he wants to take everyone down with him. Isn't it interesting that every cyclist he named, Armstrong, Leipheimer, Zabrsikie, Hincapie, right now are riding in the Tour of California?

He's getting attention for a book deal, or to be on 60 minutes, or to get some cash. This is no more than a publicity stunt. Remember how he treated Greg Lemond during his trial? Have you heard that Landis tried to crash the computer of the organization that held his doping samples, This is a man not to be trusted.

If Lance is doping and any of the others were doping, they will be caught. Doping allegations do NOT work by pointing fingers, this is not the McCarthy era, they work on actual scientific evidence, if you don't have the evidence, it's hearsay.

Couldn't agree more. It just isn't possible that Lance and the US Postal Service were the only clean riders while everyone else was juiced to the gills. It really shouldn't be shocking to anyone that Lance and his crew are getting the fingered pointed at them. Landis may be a bitter man and you can say whatever you want about him but this type of detail of his doping that he is presenting has to make even the biggest Lance followers question how clean he really is.

Haven't been round these parts much for a REALLY long time but this one, as soon as I read the article, meant I had to come back.

A couple of points:

1. I still think the common assumption that most if not all cyclists are juiced.

2. I am rather confident that includes Lance Armstrong.

3. This information coming from Landis is pathetic, too late, and he is the worst kind of witness- he has NO credibility.

If Landis had won, turned himself in the next day and done all this to PROVE how people cheat and outted people then, yeah he's a jerk but he deserves some credit. To wait until you have nothing left before admitting that you've been LYING bold faced for FOUR YEARS about your own personal involvement shows a complete lack of character and it's pathetic.

This won't change anything, this won't shift any paradigms just like Operacion Puerto didn't. They're all lousy cheats but no one who matters will do anything about it WHEN it matters.

Outing your teammates four years after the fact when you are just as guilty as anyone else is pathetic. It takes no balls to accuse people when you have nothing to lose. If he had done all this before his own reputation and life were tarnished to shit it would be valuable. To turn in your teammates and the people who allegedly paid your bills (and doping bills) is sorry.

Landis is a crybaby who was "beat by the system" a proven liar and a proven cheat. Who cares what he says?

I watched a PBS documentary on doping in cycling, there was a team manager who was being interviewed. The manager had seen hundreds of cyclists in his years as team skipper, and said that he could count on one hand the number of riders who were clean.
