You know what kids in the US who aren't fast enough, big enough, strong enough for football do, don't you? They play soccer and cross country.
BTW, go to the UK sometime and visit a few pubs. What you'll see are signs that say something like "No Football Coaches." If you're a soccer fan, they basically don't want to let you in. Over there, soccer (fans particularly) is seen as crude, boorish, and low class. The high class game is rugby.
On whatever level appeals to you, soccer is for losers.
I can't believe people really have this type of an attitude regarding sport. Everybody is different, and has a different role to play athletically. Lets not act as if football or anything else is the ultimate sport. To be good at anything takes a special amount of focus, love, and will. To liken every form of athletic expression to a single form of sport is both shallow and vastly ignorant. To each his own. For the record, I am glad that not everybody is a football guy...what a boring world that would be. In the end were just a bunch of fools enjoying what petty games we happen across in life. It's only sport.
