It is a contractual element, so for some it could be finishing top-three in conference (especially for a team that has repeatedly been a doormat (Purdue might have something like this, since the Big Ten is so competitive).
Are the amounts that are listed the compensation or the salary. They differ for a couple of reasons: 1) bonus; 2) other duties, et cetera.?
