I would say winning a meet with 8 ranked teams is not so-so competition -- its about as good as it gets. UW did a helluva job today and hopefully can hold this until Pac-10s and nationals.

Your point was he 'would' win - not you thought he would win but he would and you had to repeat it because you were so sure.
If you don't know who else is in the race then you can't possibly know who will win.
Anyway - he got beat up.

Paul SHORT is right. Add about 30+ seconds to the entire fields time. Obviously, the course was short and I'm a big fan of Poore and the IU squad. Even they know the course was short.
Yeah I ate my words a little there but we'll see where these Kirwa and Bethke characters are on November 23rd.
Paul Short was measured at 4.97- 5.01 miles with the tangents by a few people. so actually course was long.
McCarthy had a viral infection in the week prior to the race, otherwise he would of cleaned up.
