5 Jamaican Sprinters fail drugs tests

This reminded me of that event a few months ago where all of those horses died in Florida, because they had the same feed or medicine, so oddly and sadly, the dozen or so horses all died at the same time. Here, we've got 5 runners who it appears all get caught at the same time. Doesn't sound good.

If u read the different infro on line u would notice that 5 athletes which include people who train in different camps both local and in the states, consumed the drink at the trials- which explains the 5 and the minor nature of it.

It is unfortunate,and yes athletes need to be very careful what they are consuming.

Guarana is the staple in the Energy Drinks like Red Bull, Monster, etc. I thought it was a caffeine.

I forget where now, some of those energy drinks are outlawed in certain countries.

can tell you right now that those who are JA track haters will use this as some sort of smoking gun - reality is that it is so not. I didn't worry as an athlete about anything anyone is taking from GNC or a place of that sort. Period. It either will show up in a test or it will not have a significant effect.

This is a 1 on a ten scale. Those hating on JA track will do so anyhow, with this as the "AHA!" moment. What failed to realise was that when Tyson beat Usain he was 20, coming off an injury plagued 2006. Everyone knew Usain was a phenom, just needed the right technical training & to be serios abt his sport. Also, for years Jamaican athletes complained that they beat their US counterparts in college easily but couldn't beat them on the professional circuit, need answer to answer to that. Jamaica has no technological advancement over the US for Jamaica to have a drug so secret. How many times have Jamaica's top athletes been tested over the last year
