I used to shave my legs. I did not hide the fact it was purely for vanity. The women I dated loved it. In fact, when we were both freshly shaven, there was no feeling like it. I tried the #2 guard method and I liked the results but it left my legs really itchy for like two weeks afterwards so I haven't done it again. Any ideas why this might be??? If it wasn't so itchy I would definitely do it again.
I'll admit it - vanity. Same reason why I do a little upper body lifting - like to look decent with no shirt - has nothing to do with improving my running. Shit, running itself is largely about vanity. As I near 40, I am getting body hair I didn't used to have and I hate it. With an electric razor, you just have to do it once a week to maintain if you have light hair.
Of course, I do like the way it feels in the heat not being so sweaty and how easy it is to clean up after a muddy trail run, but the time it takes to shave probably cancels out those savings. It is plain vanity - the wife likes it and I like looking leaner and more muscular.

Give it a couple weeks. It's always itchy at first, but then you get used to it. You don't get used to being itchy, but your stop being itchy. Anyway, keep at it you sexy beast!
