Not really. There's probably a fairly standardised level of a screw-up and a success.
For instance if you've just walked out your house, gone for a run, and found 100 million dollars in unmarked bills that are geniune then even when your mate tells you in the pub later "my mate Garry had a great day today" - you can be fairly sure that your day was better as on the scale of great days, spare 100 million dollars is pretty damn high despite knowing nothing about Garry's day.
