Dozens of times on these message boards I've said that even 60 can be "hot" for a marathon. I've never said that 80 degrees was "optimal" in that context.
There is no context. 80 is not optimal, period. Ever. Neither is 60. Not ever. What part of that do you think needs qualifying?
