2:11:20 wins it and 2:12:50 makes the team!
That would be ridiculous. If Hussein is 3rd then Morgan finishes right behind him (based on Osaka). Even Morgan would be pleased to finish within 4 minutes of Sell.
Culpepper. will put it together on the day
Abdi. having a great year
Sell. course suits his toughness well
Meb. not in peak form
Ritz. may not have the marathon down yet
Gilmore. experience
Hall. talented but hills may be hard on him
Lehmkuhle. has been racing great
Verran. always puts together a solid race
Frey. random hunch, ran great at panams
Bizuneh. Has raced less so should be ready

why do people give bizuneh so much respect? he's ran one good half marathon and his best marathon has been a 2:18 yet many are picking him to beat so many good runners. i don't understand it.
He's actually broken 1:03 twice, and has an 8k 22:32 PR, but he doesn't seem to be cut out for the marathon. Still, where the hell does Amby get off writing stuff like this:
Until a couple of days ago, I had never met or talked to Fasil Bizuneh, one of those "dark horse" picks to run well in the Marathon Trials. So I figured I should ease my way into our first conversation. I wanted it to go well. I didn't want to tell him, right off the bat, that I thought he was nuts...

the rest dont count!
Surprised Rohatinsky is making so many top 10 lists. He's never ran a marathon and only runs 100 mi/wk. Also doubt if Fasil Biseneh (2:18) guy makes top 10. Seems like if an athlete gets a big interview published, he immediately jumps into the top 10.

exactly.
runners world featured Miguel Nuci, hence he's a darkhorse.
brandon leslie, featured in RW, therefore he's a darkhorse.
