But part of the problem is that, the way things have gone, most runners need to run their best event in order to take home the most money. If you're Kipchirchir and are going for the Golden League 1500m, how many top class 800s can you run?

I think Snell's 800m times were as good as those 1.41 guys.

Who is going to run 1.41 now?

Fun thread to read. Brojos linked to it on the front page a few days ago, but have since taken it down.

The man only speaks of minimizing the damage of dopers, and the reputation of the sport. He is only interested in the sport appearing clean, without actually cleaning up its competitions.

A lot of the runners brought up in this thread as comparable to Coe have been busted.

Just wanted to revisit this topic before people get comfortable with him being at the head of the sport.

...and bubka would be a better alternative? give me a break.
