It's called Fandango...it's 2006 and if you haven't noticed, everything is automated these days...most of our purchases simply serve to keep this giant ant colony functioning...seemingly anyway.
I think probably the reoccuring theme behind my ability to "suspend my ethics" in the case of these purchasing loopholes, is that I don't feel guilty about taking advantage of some huge, impersonal, data-collection engine.
I couldn't justify buying a pair of shoes, wearing them, and taking advantage of a liberal return policy at a Mom & Pop's neighborhood running store but when you're dealing with some generic 'machine'...it's an amoral situation to begin with. I don't know what the solution is but Project Mayhem might be a good start.
