I have read Gerry lindgren's autobiogrpahy written by his "shadow." There was a point in time (not written in the book) where Gerry's school sports therapist or something said it would be impossible to run 350 miles a week. He did it to prove him wrong. He didnt do it for fame (neither am i) he did it to push the human limit and to serve as an example for runners and humans.
The number why 350? Cause I am scared. 350 has said to be done...but why not more you ask? I am scared...theres no other way of saying it. I know no right person would go about doing that type of mileage let alone going over 350 of what has already been done."
Lindgren also is a nut case who RAN AWAY from his family , and claims have run a 2:00hr marathon.....so what you want to be a crazy SOB like him??
seriously man you need a role model...i dont know about God , but if your some kind of "special creation" how the hell is running is your body into the dirt a sign of respect for your creator..
I said it was not written in the book. Rather I have heard it elsewhere. I am not trying to emulate Lidngren, just trying to emulate his running and training barriers.
Yeah, running that much mileage is a bit scary. Why? Its unchartered territory (almost.)
I did not say I was a special creation. I waS saying I dont think i am living up to my running potential and capiblities that god has created for the human.
thanks for the response.
