Can't be 'ef'ed' reading the entire thread but heres my two cents: Elitists and Know-it-all amateurs both piss me off. Original poster, congrats but calm down.
Im a semi-decent runner, 14.10 5ker. I coach myself. When someone better than me tells me I am doing something 'wrong' I get a little fired up, I get more pissed off when they try and give me advice on what I should be doing instead. I mean what works for them may not work for me and as I am young I am still training tentatively, slowely trying new things.
Yet the only thing more annoying than this is when a 17.30 5ker comes up to me to exhange secrets and discloses some increadible running remedy to me like it will change my running world.
I am always open to knew ideas but dislike it greatly when I am scorned by others for A) not thinking thier ideas would work for me, or B) not following the status quo.
Right on. I feel exactly the same way.
