I find it fascinating that you would think that Seth, a person with everything to lose and significant reason to hide things, is being honest while this account, every single of his teammates, his Mom, and a video of his email aren't.

I've seen the full email in question. I'm sure Gault has as well as part of his investigation into this situation. The excerpt shared on that instagram account is 100% word for word from the mom's email. Sharing the rest of it would only serve to humiliate Seth more, which I don't want to do. People just want Rowan to do the right thing. Instead, they remain silent and let Seth shoulder all the ridicule all so Dustin Dimit and crew can win a trophy. Of course, Seth shares blame as well since he refuses to accept responsibility for his actions, but make no mistake, adults are the ones enabling this bad behavior.

If we’re going to bring NAIA stars that could’ve made it d1 into the mix then why not include Jaynie Halterman or Zouhair Talbi (respectfully)?
Because their cases make more sense – Halterman stay close to home, Talbi not American (at that time) and first went JUCO, then NAIA. They weren't kicked off a D1 team for doping and then go to a random D3.
Probably because, with all due respect to Jaynie, she came in with a very good but not top of the class 17:0x 5k and after 2 years of college has a respectable 15:52 5k to her name. Great for NAIA, would be totally lost in the mix in D1.

Rowan Clean Sport submitted an Open Public Records Act Request to Rowan U, seeking various communications amongst the AD and coach regarding Seth, his drug use, and what happened at ISU.
Anyone familiar with the OPRA Request and how it works? Does the university actually have an obligation to turn any of this over based on a random (but justified) request?
anything related to a student-athlete is likely going to run up against the same FERPA walls. Since they requested some terms non-specific to SC like EPO, BPC, Iowa they might get some hits there. But NJ supreme court seems to have given Rowan some pretty good backstoping:

eta: I think submitting was a good call regardless of whether it turns up anything - they both are requiring a response (which Rowan has not yet given) AND it's likely getting it on the radar of departments/administration officials who might not be otherwise aware, and are more likely to be looking out for the University, and not Dimit/Tucker.

Uh oh, someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like mommy's email was taken down from the Rowan Clean Sport Instagram page. Looks like this saga continues to occupy the minds of Seth, mommy, and their shyster lawyer. Keep it up! Don't take the pressure off, continue to make this a long-term drain on their time and energy.

Honestly if it wasnt for this post (legitimacy pending?), I would’ve thought the clean Rowan page got a bogus email
Hot take, the current situation is primarily the Rowan coaching staff's fault.
In my opinion, they cared more about the team points SC was worth and a team title than the wellbeing of this athlete. He is a kid who very obviously made some big mistakes, yes. The coaches made it so much worse by enabling this and not coming out in a meaningful way to protect their athlete(s), program, and reputation whether or not the allegations are true. Their vow of silence while continuing to race him in the face of the entire sport (and now mainstream media) calling for transparency was irresponsible and made everything so much worse for him and the school, not to mention the competitors.
Through negligence, greed, or both these coaches and school(s) played a big role in creating this situation. While they technically didn't break any rules, Dimit and whoever else on their coaching staff who enabled this should also be held accountable and responsible for allowing someone to become the most notorious name in the sport for the sake of a couple points. I hope it was worth the trophy.

OK, I'm bored at work, so I'm in the process of creating a formal FOIA request to Iowa State. The NCAA’s Division III Q&A says that a student-athlete who transfers to Division III while under a disciplinary suspension from the original institution is not eligible for competition until one calendar year after enrollment. So let's see what ISU has to say about his actual suspension.

What I find so weird is that they would do this for a D3 indoor title. Like really? Did they just not think this would blow up once people did the slightest bit of digging? I'm sure I'm not in the minority when I say I had never heard of Rowan University before reading Gault's piece and I'm sure this whole situation has done pretty severe damage to the university as a whole. I again have to question the thinking. A D3 indoor title?!?!
Back when Salazar's "gray area" doping was first being widely talked about in 2015 I remember Letsrun was asking athletes about it. There's a great interview with Chris Derrick at that time where he tactfully goes in on Salazar (and probably Galen, Mo, and a few others in that association) by saying something to the effect of "we're not sociopaths looking to compromise our beliefs to bend the rules as much as possible for performance." Unfortunately it seems there are plenty in the sport who aren't like Chris.
Here’s the thing; to coaches it doesn’t matter what division they’re in. An NCAA Trophy is still a trophy and is celebrated as such to them. Therefore they’ll do whatever they can to win one ( ethically unless you’re rowan)
