Am I the only one on Letsrun who's actually played organized NCAA DIII XC/TF? Like half of the comments I've seen on this thread are so obviously written by hobby joggers that it's almost humorous. When I started out in college (1 year starter for our DI varsity XC/TF team before going D3) I would get a full-on sprint going and clock the sh*t outta the first mile of a indoor 5k. My coaches called me "speedhawk" as a nickname caus I had such a nose for the first mile and for those three seasons I was considered the most feared distance runner in our conference. Junior year I led my team to nationals only to get f*cked over by the whiny Letsrun users but that's another conversation (DM me if you're interested in hearing about it) So, yeah. I hope yall can understand why I feel like their's such a big disconnect between myself and your typical Letsrun hobby jogger. Please tell me I'm not the only one who feels this way lol
I was a multiple time D3 A-A. I think Clevenger is trash. I hope that clears up the confusion.
Do you hold any records like I d… I mean Seth does?

A number of signatories to the petition are literally previous NCAA winners and division record holders. The Rowan Clean Sport Initiative Instagram has also been reposted by multiple well known D3 alums and multi-time AA's and champions, so saying that this is confined to a bunch of "LetsRun hobby joggers" is completely invalid.
And before you claim they're jealous because SC pushed them down the all-time list: as somebody on that list, I can say with absolute certainty that none of us particularly care that much about it, and in fact, most have been excited these past few years about how increasingly competitive the division is getting. Nobody cares about whether they hold a record from 5-10+ years ago.

Also the petition isn’t just D3, alumni and athletes from all divisions are on it; don’t forget some of the d3 guys had high school teammates who now run in other divisions. Heck, I saw even Ohio state on it which no one would ever put that school and d3 in the same sentence
Beyond pathetic. Get a life, Seth. Or rather, have your rich family buy you a mirror, look into it, and think deeply about the person you are and the person you want to be.

I was a triple digit finisher at DII XC nationals last year (ladies one at a time please) and I also feel the same about Clevenger. It is okay to be mid at the sport Seth

Seth’s time was less than the D1 champ time. Seth is a living legend
If Seth had a clean conscience about this you'd think he'd have no problem talking about it in interviews. Hasn't addressed the public in a long time. His silence is loud.

You know what you get for D3 records? Nothing. You'll get a job and be a nobody, just like everybody else. You won't ever run a professional race. You won't make a dime from running, just like everyone else. Not to mention the only way to describe D3 to the layperson is to say it's the JV of college running. Congrats on the JV records that nobody cares about.

One lunatic is the main offender, posting under various names and IPs. It’s amazing how many threads he’s starting and posts he’s making about some guy who beat him in some inconsequential (for anyone else) race somewhere. Now he’s gone mad while accusing others of such if they notice.

I'd be happy to say it to his face. If you'd like to provide me with some direct contact information to him, it would be a pleasure to call him a lying, cheating loser and then see what happens.
I wonder what was going through Seth’s head as he won. I was clean as a whistle in college, and a whole lot slower, but when I found myself clear of a field with nothing but open track ahead, I was never as happy as I expected. Sure, I wanted to win, but I almost felt kind of empty as I finished. Not exactly sad, just empty. I’ve chalked it up to the fact I was focused more on the process, the training. Not a bad thing. But for someone who cheats during the process? What do you feel when you win? Are you happy at all with the win or how you got there?
