When was the last time you saw Africa send a ton of their best to indoor events?
This is why the indoors records were so achievable for Americans in the last few years.
Kenny B, Hailie, Tergat, EL G etc all races not a lot indoors.
Winter is for XC or the roads for Africans. They don’t have indoor tracks!!!!

Not so much Kenya, but Ethiopia has done and continues to do very well in World Indoors. Look through the medalists for World Indoors throughout the years, and you will see lots of Ethiopians, quite a few Kenyans, and quite a few athletes from other African nations.

Haile did pick up four indoor world championships, including one 1500m, which is pretty amazing for a future world record holder in the marathon. And El G and Bekele picked up a few, too. But they didn't need to be in peak racing shape to beat a bunch of Americans back then.
