Doesn’t matter. That degree will do nothing for you.
Exactly. Everyone knows she didn’t get in because of her grades. And her degree is frankly useless as an undergrad I know a Yale runner who did NOTHING professionally after graduating. People aren’t stupid when they read your resume.
Wrong. You can’t just take one figure and apply it to all degrees. And we’re referring to people who are actually employed. Sorry but the Harvard student majoring in literature hardly makes anywhere close IF they even get a job. If you’re going to Harvard at least get a degree that provides a good career.
With a degree in literature and history, good luck. The majority of pros are too far removed from degrees and work experience to be anything but coaches. Not exactly a a 9-5 job.
With a Harvard degree in literature and history and plenty of intl life experience, Ramsden could start working for NZ Global Affairs tomorrow.
Good question. It’s not a problem that things didn’t work out with Dathan Ritzenhein, that happens. But running back to the Harvard coach isn’t going to produce world-class results, and everyone knows that. It’s the same pattern we saw with Parker Valby going back to Florida when the bigger issue was her.
"The Harvard coach isn't going to produce world-class results" — the same Harvard coach who coaches Graham Blanks?
Cooper Teare tried an "elite" team for a year (Bowerman), didn't get the results he wanted, and returned to his college coach, and has run pb's since. Ramsden returning to the setup that worked for her previously, after a failed stint with another pro team, is not the signal that her career is over that some on this thread are suggesting.
the goal is the next pro level, this setup isn’t it. College coaching has a ceiling, Boston is a brutal training environment, and while Gibby is solid, he’s not taking her to the level she’s talking about.
Gibby's gotten Blanks to 12:48, so why couldn't he get Ramsden to as high of a level as that for her?
She’s run 4:02 1500 and 4:21 (mile) I don’t know why people are writing her off when that happened 10 months ago. As for her speed, she did close in 60 to win NCAA outdoors after a pretty pedestrian start and still ran 4:06. Sure she’s not close to medaling right now but could see her getting to the 3:58 range to maybe sneak into a world final.

What international life experience?? Running on tracks? Global affairs with a literature degree? Do they need authors to write history books there or teach social studies and English? I’m assuming you’re being sarcastic.
