Still ducking. What percent of your posts have something to do with badmouthing an American or insulting someone on this board? 99%?
Obsessed with another poster, nothing - ever - on the thread subject. Sad.
It's on topic because the topic is Trump, and you're just like him, so the topic is really you.
What percent of your posts have something to do with badmouthing an American or insulting someone on this board? 99%? Give an honest estimate, and maybe I'll stop posting in this thread.
You're ducking the question. What percent of your posts have something to do with badmouthing an American or insulting someone on this board? 99%?
I’m not going to run through a post-by-post accounting, but my vague sense is that the American he “badmouths” the most deserves it at least 75% of the time.
Is he often wrong, insulting, or otherwise a frequently poor example of how to conduct reasonable political debate? Sure, but that is far, far, far from uncommon on this site in particular and online generally, and I doubt he’s in the worst 25%, so I’m not sure why you’d single him out for that rather than express consistent disdain for any and all instances of that, regardless of a poster’s politics.
And although I suppose I’m actually “not sure” why that is, I have a pretty good guess.
Under Trump it is imposing regime change in other nations by force. That is quite apart from killing foreign nationals in international waters for offences for which they haven't been charged and for which the penalty isn't death. None of this is occurring according to either US law, which requires the approval of Congress for implementing acts of war, or international law, which opposes the invasion of other nations to depose their governments. Trump is becoming another Putin.
As much as the US has every right to embargo and seize oil tankers and American oil infrastructure from a country that owes us a bunch of money as already determined in international courts, as much as this is a move to thwart drugs, cartel, and illegal immigration activity while sending a strong message to countries like Mexico, and as much as it could be argued this is a “humanitarian mission” as up to 25% of Venezuelans have left the country after elections that were shadier than what happened in the US during Covid, I still DON’T support what Trump just did. I do not like the optics.
But, let us never forget that Obama did NOT have Congressional approval to go in and take out Gadhafi in Libya, which directly led to the killing of American servicemen and special ops in Benghazi (to say nothing of the dam break during the ensuing Civil War that killed tens of thousands of Libyans). He was roundly criticized by Congress for violating the War Powers Act, and Congress ultimately defeated a retroactive resolution to authorize the invasion. And Gaddafi was even less of a geopolitical threat, speaking of low hanging fruit. Funny how this was never brought up in the press. The precedent was established.
Your knowledge of US history is severely lacking if you think this started with Trump. Try reading up on Presidents Polk, McKinley, and Teddy Roosevelt.
No US president is comparable to Trump. He demonstrates every human failing. No one else comes close.
While I share your disdain of Trump Andrew Jackson was pretty bad.
For over 25 years, leaders of Venezuela have abused their positions of public trust and corrupted once-legitimate institutions to import tons of cocaine into the United States.
2. NICOLAS MADURO MOROS, the defendant, is at the forefront of that corruption and has partnered with his co-conspirators to use his illegally obtained authority and the institutions he corroded to transport thousands of tons of cocaine to the United States. Since his early days in Venezuelan government…

As I said,
The real reason the US is invading Venezuela goes back to a deal Henry Kissinger made with Saudi Arabia in 1974.
And I'm going to explain why this is actually about the SURVIVAL of the US dollar itself.

When it comes to the petrodollar and the US being too big too fail, the Democratic and Republican parties are no different from each other. Gold (silver) has been telling all of you this for a few years now.

Unsurprising to find that you are a narco-terrorist sympathizer along with all your other irrational beliefs.

Arresting a wanted criminal doesn't compromise the territorial integrity or political independence of Venezuela.

Polk was our best president.
4 years, got it all done.
Gave us Pacific Northwest, Southwest, California, and Texas.
