The Maori don't say that. NZ has paid millions in reparations and compensation to iwi. The US hasn't done that for any descendants of its slaves.

Dense, too. The iwi are the descendants of Maori dispossessed of their land over a century and a half ago, not yesterday. Like other NZr's I am paying for something I didn't do but my ancestors did. That's how historical reparations work. But not in the US. There have been no reparations let alone atonement for what was done to African Americans for centuries through slavery and Jim Crow and your racism is still alive and well. This place proves it.
