Most MIAC teams have competed with a portion of their rosters, so the TFRRS list is popping.
Some highlights from this weekend -
The Johnnies appear to have their next great sprinter in State medalist Aiden Jones, not to be confused with the Gopher miler, Aidan Jones. No Reis this week, but hopefully we'll see his debut soon.
Kubicek continues to impress taking the conference lead in the 200 this week and runs as strong 400 for the win.
Four men have now run sub 1:22 in the 600, with Ihrke running a PR and an Olaf freshman living up to his hype. Ihrke appeared to be sitting back and letting Mac record holder David Palmer pace, but rumor has it he expected Palmer to open faster and he though the could have run significantly faster.
Gabe easily dropped Turlington, but neither ran very fast. Stencel ran a nice rust buster, but the real story is the Molenkamp PR. Can he work his way into the scoring conversation?
And how about the man, the myth, the legend Isaiah Fitzgerald using shirtless subzero training to move into third on the MIAC 3K list. Is he a darkhorse for the MIAC podium?
Bethel did Bethel hurdle and 4 x 400 things. Ferrin Pryce looks like their next All-American.
I'll put my athlete of the week picks in a later post.
